One Life To Live

Jermaine St. Omer (Rajow) & Saint O

Congratulations are in order to our son of the soil, Saint Lucian born Jermaine St. Omer affectionately known as “RAJOW”.

Together with his group SAINT “O”, the band has just released a 10 song “AFRO CARIBBEAN JAZZ” album that is taking the entertainment industry by storm especially in Asia, Europe and the Middle East where the group has an extensive fan base.

“RAJOW” describes the final product as a labour of love which originated in Hong Kong while he was the Musical Director for the jazz program at the famous JJ Mahoney’s located at the Grand Hyatt.

It’s evident judging by the tracks that the musicianship is of high quality and Rajow’s superb drumming and percussion skills adds to the flair of the selections.

His Original composition “ONE LIFE TO LIVE” was selected as the title of the album and includes a killer track “Pinnocks Lane” written by Saint Lucian Saxophonist Augustin Duplessis (JAB).

The album is a collection of jazz standards that were being performed live at the Grand Hyatt, Hong Kong which prompted Rajow to take it a step further in the form of releasing an album. This new venture has already began opening opportunities on his musical journey which began many years ago in Saint Lucia as the drummer for the iconic group “THE TRU-TONES”.

An endorsement on the Album by another son of the soil saxophonist and music icon Luther Francois, is the impetus that has elevated Jermaine’s status on the global entertainment stage, while making Saint Lucians proud to bless him with ongoing success in his musical endeavors.

“We wish Rajow the best going forward”

Caribbean Musicians

The True Path

“Many years ago I was pleasantly surprised to discover the Jermaine St. Omer and I had something in common with a large number of ”enlightened' Caribean musicians. It was our discovery and appreciation of ‘True Path’, recorded and released by Ralph MacDonald.

Since then, I have endeavored to follow and keep track of Jermaine's activities, and today, I can say with pride that his latest recording deserves the respect and praise of music lovers at home in St. Lucia and abroad in Canada and elsewhere.

A Caribbean musical warrior who must certainly become a feature of future usual festivals in his island of birth and elsewhere in the region. Congratulations to ‘Rajow’ one of our own!" ~ Luther Francois (Saxophone), Music Educator, Recipient of The Insignia of Chevalier in the Order of Arts and Letters
